Halloween 2013

This Halloween was a lot of fun because Terry went all out on our costumes. The girls went to a party at the beginning of October when their costumes weren't quite ready so Terry made them these shirts to wear.

For Halloween the girls wanted to be characters from the movie Wreck-it Ralph.

                        Presenting . . . Taffyta Muttonfudge

                                    Vanellope Von Schweetz
 and . . .

Fix-it Felix and his dynamite gal, Sergeant Calhoun
We won the prize for best family costume and my costume won the prize for best individual costume at our ward party. We were all pretty excited. Also it was strange getting so much attention. I guess blondes really do have more fun. On Halloween the girls got to go trick-or-treating with their cousins and they kept up with them a lot better this year. It was a lot more fun now that they are a little older and can do more themselves.

Hope everyone else had a happy Halloween!

Halloween 2011

Tato very much wanted to be a princess this year. Olie wanted to be whatever Tato wanted to be.
The girls got to go to the ward Halloween party with Roger and Cassie while Alice and I were celebrating our anniversary.
I had to work on Halloween night so Alice and her mom took the girls to Jill's house to go trick or treating with their cousins. They told me they had a lot of fun.

May the Force be With You - Halloween Edition

I figured it was high time I got our Halloween pictures up. I have a remarkably talented husband and he made all of our costumes this year (except mine which I "made" ie: ordered off the internet). Even though we didn't win best costume for Tato at our wards Trunk-or-Treat, we did get a lot of comments from people who were excited about it. Lots of closet Star Wars nerds out there . . .

The person who can guess who we each are wins a prize! The ability to continue to view our blog!!! I didn't say it was a good prize . . .

Halloween!

Tato's second Halloween! I decided to do something fun this year instead of handing out candy like I did last year, so I decided to go to Nate and Jill's and go Trick-or-Treating with their kids.
Terry had the great idea of dressing Tato up like Minnie Mouse becuase we already had the red polka dotted dress. Jack dressed up like a Jawa, Bella was a Peacock and Sophie was Tinkerbell, or as she calls it Pinkie Bell. They all looked so great! After dinner everyone hurried into their costumes and we set off around the neighborhood in search of sweets. It was a lot of fun but very tiring for me. I carried Tato half the time and the other half just pushed her in her stroller when I couldn't bear to lift her anymore. At one house she got a little spider ring and I let her carry it. She had a death grip on it the entire time. It was so funny. Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Well another Halloween has come and gone. We continued our tradition again this year and carved pumpkins a few days before Halloween. Mine is the one that says creepy, however I was sick of carving after I finished the word creepy and Terry was already done with his so he did the bats for me. What a sweet husband I have. Hope everyone had a fun holiday!

First Halloween!

Terry and I were so excited for Tato's first Halloween. We decided to go to Gardner Village to see all the witches and stop by the candy shop for some old fashioned soda. The obvious choice for Tato's costume was a baby panda so we threw this little ensemble together. We don't own a sewing machine which is painfully clear but we made it work! Terry and I went as Zookeepers. We had a lot of fun walking around and looking at all the shops. It was a lot busier than we thought it would be, but I guess we did go on a Monday night, so that explains it. We ate at the resturaunt in the old mill (Archibald's I think it is called) and then we got pumpkin shaped sugar cookies at the bakery. By the end of the day the baby was exhausted. The only disappointment of the night was when we went to the candy shop to get the old fashioned soda (Peach Nehi to be specific), we found out they don't have it anymore! That is the only place I know of that carried that kind of soda so I was kinda bummed. If anyone has any info on the location of any Nehi soda, it would be greatly appreciated. : ) Here are some pictures of the day.
