July 5th - 17th: Family Fun, Reunions and Temple!

My sister was in town for our big family reunion on the 16th so we spent the whole week of the 6th through the 13th crafting, playing pounce (or nertz, whatever you want to call it), and playing Rock Band on the X-box. We were just hanging out so I never really thought to get my camera out. But It was a very busy week and I was hardly home long enough to even do a single batch of laundry.
On the 14th, Terry and I were endowed and on the 15th we were sealed to each other and to our two little girls for time and all eternity. We had waited a long time for this day to come and I just have to say that it was one of the most wonderful things to ever happen to me. As we were driving home from being sealed I asked Terry if he was happy. He said "of course." And then from the back seat in Tato's little voice, "Olie? You happy?" I just couldn't help myself and doubled over in laughter. After the sealing Terry took the family paintballing. It was way too hot, but only a few people seemed to mind. It sounds like they had a lot of fun with that.

On the 16th we had our family reunion and it was a lot of fun. We had a talent show. I played a song called Chocolate Fudge on the piano and Terry made a pinata. We were going to have Tato sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star but she wasn't feeling well and plus she gets really shy, so it didn't happen. Most people sang, some people showcased art, Marshall played the guitar, and there were a few other various talents. After that we had a BBQ at Nate and Jill's house. Oh my goodness there was so much food. After we ate Jill ambushed us with water balloons (she told me about it ahead of time so I could sneak inside since I was holding a young baby, which I thought was thoughtful of her). Then the kids all took a swing at the pinata (which Terry made to look like Darth Maul from Star Wars) and as the candy flew everywhere I funnily enough saw Sophie fleeing the scene with her arms bursting with candy. She is vicious that one, lol! So the sad part is I didn't have my camera for any of this. So if anyone in the family wants to email me pics, or blog their pics so I can steal them, that would be great.

On the 17th we went to the Robinson reunion and saw some cousins we hadn't seen in a very very long time. It was pretty neat to see them, but I wish more of them had been there.

Anyways, it was a super busy week. Now I need a vacation after all of the activities of this week!

Alice!!!!!!! I am totally bawling right now, partly cause I am a HUGE nerd, but mostly cause I am sooooooo happy for you! I knew the temple was a goal, but I had no idea it was so close. You go girl. I don't know what to say other than this, (in a maternal tone of voice) I am so proud of you! That is a lot of hard work and .....yeah! Also, hil-ar-i-ous that you went paintballing right afterwards, very very funny.

It just makes me feel so spiritual and happy, to me they are synonimous, that we were all able to get together for so many important occasions. All in the same week also! Already I miss all of you and like I said to Tim. I wish they had jet packs so I could just zoom up there whenever I want. I am praying for the day I can come and go whan I want to.

I'm so happy for you guys Alice. I'm sure going through the temple was a life changing experience for you. What a blessing for your family. I can not believe how big your girls are getting and how beautiful they both are. (and how completely different they look. Hello... are they really sisters? :) ).

You guys always look so happy. :)
